While True Do is some kind of "Open Source Community", that does "Open Source development" and publishes code, news, kowledge, articles and more.
Such an explanation may be sufficient for one or another, but we thought it might be a good idea to gather some responses to frequently asked questions.
What is While True Do about?
We want to develop, maintain, operate, enhance and promote Open Source software and the Open Source ideas in general. You can read a bit more about us here.
What are you doing?
We do what is helpful for us. If some of us need a solution for a home server, we will start working on this. Some having scripts, they want to share, others want to test a new programming language. Sometimes, we participate in meetups, conferences and other events and share our knowledge.
It boils down to: There are no no-goals.
Which services do you offer?
The services provided are mainly for the community itself. You are absolutely free to consume everything we provide as publications. This includes code, articles, pictures, diagrams, texts, etc.
Working with these services (ex.: using file sync or calendar sync) is currently limited to While True Do contributors.
You can get an overview of all provided services at apps.while-true-do.io.
Is everything Open Source?
The intention is, to OpenSource as much of our development and infrastructure as possible. Nevertheless, sometimes it can take some time to provide sources and contribution options.
You can find most of our code published here.
How Can I contribute?
First off, thanks for taking time to contribute. We really appreciate every contribution (blogs, reports, requests, discussions or every other bit).
Please feel free to reach out to us via firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know, how you want to contribute.
