While True Do!
New things take time to mature. This blog and everything around it, is planned and constructed for over a year now. When talking to people to discuss my ideas some questions are in the room and need proper explanations. This very first post will address these questions, too.
New things take time to mature. This blog and everything around it, is planned and constructed for over a year now. When talking to people to discuss my ideas some questions are in the room and need proper explanations. This very first post will address these questions, too. I hope this will provide an overview of my thoughts and ideas for while-true-do.io.
In my next articles, I will mostly dig into concepts and technical stuff in context to while-true-do.io. In addition, I might talk about some news in the Open Source community, provide some guides, talk about events and maybe write about some personal topics or provide news and general information.
Who are you?
Some of you may wonder where I am coming from and what's my background. It's also an opportunity to talk about myself :p
I am one of these typical IT guys. I started in a small company, working as an IT consultant and supporting small and medium-sized companies. My way led me to e-commerce next, where I was taking care of the whole web shop server infrastructure and some other machines in this context. Next stage, social media - online dating to be precise. To cool down a bit from the startup atmosphere - Cloud Computing. Today, I am back to my roots, and I am doing projects for customers again.
In The past 15ish years, I was able to get in touch with many major technologies and buzzwords, and I learned a ton of new things, each day. This learning experience was something that always motivated me, and I am happy to share some of this with you. I hope that you will also teach me some stuff and I will learn even more.
What is while-true-do.io about?
It all started as a very selfish project. I just needed some tools... But, I thought a lot about it, really... very lot. After a while, I wanted to provide some tools as a service for friends and family. Later, I wanted to provide the documentation and code. Nowadays, I want to share everything with you. Some will get access to the platform and everybody can get the code, documentation, recordings, experiences, etc.
The bottom line is: while-true-do.io is about Sharing and Open Source. It's about transparency, experiences, learning and just giving something back. So, I hope you will find it useful.
Conclusion
I will follow up with some kind of FAQ in the near future and explain more about the background, costs and purpose. Please feel free to reach out to hello@while-true-do.io to get in touch or use one of the provided social media links.
